Hilda Mulock Houwer is the
Global Head of Advisory for KPMG’s Energy & Natural
Resources (ENR) practice. She has led the redesign of
the Business Intelligence function of the global ENR
Group, developed the business model design for national
oil companies and implemented cost optimisation
techniques at several oil & gas and mining companies. Hilda has 22 years of consulting and auditing experience in the oil & gas, energy and mining industries. She has provided advisory services across the entire oil & gas value chain and possesses deep knowledge of process transformation, procurement, change management, and financial process redesign. She also has global responsibility for Sustainable Value Improvement and Major Projects within ENR. She is a frequent guest speaker on topics such as energy efficiency and major capital investments. She works with organisations and governments to help shape energy policies – including cost transparency of energy, energy efficiency and renewables. She is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and her qualifications include Bachelors of Commerce (Honours) in Financial Management and Bachelors of Commerce (Honours) Accountancy. |

Alan is now Head of Oils
research team and so responsible for formulating Wood
Mackenzie’s research outlook and perspectives on the
global Downstream oils sector. Alan Gelder joined Wood Mackenzie’s Downstream Consulting team in 2005 and became global head in 2009. Alan has led consulting assignments all over the world, focusing on major transactions (projects and M&A) and their alignment with key success factors for industry players and third parties. Alan is currently based in Wood Mackenzie’s London office. Alan also has extensive experience of supporting the financial community’s involvement in major projects, such as Saudi Aramco’s recent export-oriented mega-Projects Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Alan had 10 years of industry consulting after working for ExxonMobil in a variety of project planning and technical process design roles. Alan has a first class Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London, which has been supplemented by an MBA from Henley Management College. |
